You are what makes Antioch great.
We all have different backgrounds and stories, but we are all here together to better ourselves and our communities. We encourage you to bring your authentic self and invest in what is important to you!
You’ll find peers with similar interests and commitments to creating change in their communities in classes, clubs, and organizations on each campus and across our schools. You’ll also find opportunities to share your voice with Antioch to help you co-create an environment where you can thrive.
Keep up with what’s happening at your university through Common Thread, where you can read the latest stories, profiles, and updates from across all our campuses.
Embodying the Mission
Antioch prides itself on creating change-makers who can take their knowledge into their communities. Our students are highly engaged in social, racial, economic, and environmental justice work in and out of the university setting. Beyond Diversity
Beyond our general mission, Antioch has an ongoing commitment to making our institution inclusive and addressing individual, systemic, and structural inequities in higher education. We are here to empower you and to help you use your voice to empower others.
We know that demographic diversity is only a small step toward racial and social justice, but you can explore our Factbook and Student Demographics to get a sense of our student body.
Gender Identity
Your identity is important to us. We support all students in how they express their gender identity and recognize that this can be a fluid part of their lives. We encourage everyone to share their preferred names, pronouns, and stories when and how they are comfortable.
Land Acknowledgment
Antioch University acknowledges the various peoples, traditions, and cultures who called the land of North America their home long before the arrival of European settlers. Our campuses occupy the homelands of Tonvga, Alnobak, Chumash, Coastal Salish, and other indigenous people. We also recognize that a simple land acknowledgment isn’t enough and that we need to do more to address the social, racial, economic, and environmental issues and inequalities that affect Native Americans today.
Community
Antioch has a variety of communities that work to support student engagement at the University and in their regional communities. Each campus has a unique culture, opportunities, and student networks. Check with your program to see what student groups and activities are available on your campus or explore the links below.
You can search for students, staff, and faculty using the Person Search in AUDirect or learn more about our faculty in the online faculty directory.
AU Policies
As students at Antioch, it’s your responsibility to thrive within our policies. The academic policies can be found in the catalog. Your department may have a student handbook containing policies for your academic program, and all other Antioch policies can be found in our AURA repository.
