Academic Support
Antioch University’s academic support staff are here to provide students with wrap-around support for research, writing, and your academic journey.
We are always happy to answer questions and connect students with additional resources or program staff. We work with students in all programs, schools, and campuses.
We work with students in all Antioch schools, physical campuses, and programs and we’re excited to help you succeed!
AU Library
The Antioch University Library connects you with the resources you need. We provide all students, faculty, and staff across the university with accessible, state-of-the-art library services and resources in support of the University’s teaching, learning, research, and service.
The library’s collection contains over 40,000 physical books, 500,000 digital books, & 72,000 online journals. Through our We Deliver service, you can request to have physical books from the Antioch collection sent to you (with a prepaid return envelope!) or see if another library can provide a book or article that Antioch doesn’t have access to.
If you need assistance or have questions, the librarians are available to help you with research for your classes.
Writing, Teaching & Learning Centers
The Writing Centers are here to help you adjust to writing at Antioch! Whether you feel like an expert or find academic writing stressful, everyone can benefit from feedback when challenged to write in new contexts, for new audiences, and about new concepts, especially if it’s been a while since you have taken classes or pursued a degree.
We offer live face-to-face sessions about your writing (online and at our campus Centers), as well as written comments on drafts (through our Virtual Writing Center). Our peer and professional writing consultants are here for you from the moment you get your first assignment and work with you through all stages of the writing process and all types of writing.
Registrar & Records Office
The University Registrar’s office supports students in all programs from their first registration through the awarding of their degree. We are a highly responsive virtual office working in close coordination with student services offices and academic program offices. We manage registration, transfer credit, narrative evaluations, program changes, leaves of absence, academic progress reviews, and many other critical areas. The Records Office produces transcripts for all students and alumni.
Academic Advising
Each student is assigned an official Academic Advisor, and your instructors and program staff may act as informal advisors as well in order to support you throughout your program. Your Advisor is available to assist with such issues as program planning, internship placements, graduate and postgraduate study options, academic progress, career paths, and problem-solving. Students are encouraged to meet with their Advisor at least once per term to help choose courses, meet academic requirements, and understand University and program procedures. If you have any questions about advising, like who your advisor is, when advisors are assigned or how to change advisors, please contact your program staff or Department Chair.
Bookstore
Antioch University has partnered with Slingshot to make getting your course materials easier than ever. Just register for classes and Slingshot delivers every required title before the first day, whether you study on campus or fully online.
