Through innovative tools and platforms, as well as training and support, the departments of Information Technology and Academic Technology empower students and educators to engage, collaborate, and excel in an ever-evolving educational landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic Technology (AT)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Academic Technology<\/a> helps train and support students with the tools related to their studies, including Brightspace<\/strong>, our Learning Management System; Zoom<\/strong>, our online meeting platform; and Panopto<\/strong>, our video creation and sharing tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information Technology (IT) & the Helpdesk<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Information Technology provides and supports a variety of technological services that foster learner-centered education. We have staff on each Antioch campus and online who work with faculty, staff, and students. In addition, we offer 24\/7 support through our Helpdesk<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AUDirect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

AUDirect is the portal where you can access a wide variety of Antioch services. It is also where you set up your initial password to access Antioch software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Zoom<\/strong><\/a> is our online meeting platform and can be used for class meetings, office hours, social meetings, and more. Zoom meetings can also be recorded and shared, and you can use Zoom to record yourself as well. All students and employees are given a Licensed account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please activate your Zoom account<\/strong><\/a> within 30 days of receiving the email in your Antioch Gmail account. If you have trouble with account setup, contact the Helpdesk<\/strong><\/a> at 866-662-0056.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AU Connect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Some programs use AUConnect instead of, or in addition to, Brightspace as a Learning Management System (LMS) for coursework and communication. Please contact your program support staff for assistance with AUConnect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panopto<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Panopto<\/a> <\/strong>allows students, faculty, and staff to view, create, upload, edit, and share videos and recordings they have created. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These might include class meeting recordings, video lectures created by your instructors, and recordings of events hosted at Antioch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, some faculty have students record presentations as course assignments in Panopto and share them with the instructor and\/or classmates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MyAntioch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

myAntioch (occasionally referred to as Self-Service) is Antioch\u2019s web-based interface for its Student Information System (SIS). It is used for registration, accessing academic records, personal information management including name changes, course enrollment management, accessing Financial Aid information, a variety of student-related forms, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brightspace (LMS)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Brightspace <\/strong>is our new learning management system (as of Jan 2025) for most of our programs. In Brightspace, you\u2019ll find your support materials for your face-to-face and hybrid classes, as well as coursework for fully online classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will often find your syllabus and instructor information in Brightspace, in addition to online discussions and a place to submit your course assignments and receive feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can access Brightspace by logging in to AUDirect<\/a>, opening the Services pane on the left, and clicking the orange B icon at the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sakai <\/strong>is our former learning management system which is now only available to look back at courses taken in 20204 and earlier and to visit department resource sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft 365<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft 365<\/strong> (previously Office 365) is a subscription-based suite of cloud-based productivity tools and services developed by Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It includes popular applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and more. It is made available for free to all students so long as they are enrolled at the institution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google Apps for Education<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All students have access to Google Workspace, a suite of cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools developed by Google. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It includes a range of applications designed to help organizations streamline their work processes, communicate effectively, and enhance productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The core components of Google Workplace typically include Gmail<\/a><\/strong>, Google Drive<\/a><\/strong>, Google Docs<\/a><\/strong>, Google Sheets<\/a><\/strong>, Google Slides<\/a><\/strong>, and Google Calendar<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Google Workspace provides several other services and features, such as Google Forms<\/a><\/strong> for creating surveys and quizzes, Google Sites<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>for building websites, Google Chat for team messaging, and Google Keep for note-taking and task management.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Watermark<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Watermark is the online course evaluation system used by Antioch to gather feedback from students about their learning experiences. It ensures student anonymity to encourage honest and unbiased feedback. Students receive email notifications near the end of each term to complete course evaluations and can complete evaluations directly in Brightspace, making it fast and easy to give feedback on courses and instructors.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
